My trip to Honua Kai Resort & Spa in Maui, Hawaii with my family was A-MAZING! I didn’t want to come home!

First Impressions: When we arrived, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. Honua Kai is right on Kaanapali North Beach, and the views are breathtaking. Palm trees, turquoise water, and the best sunsets ever! I got so many beautiful pictures!

Our Room: We stayed in a two-bedroom suite, and it was HUGE! There was so much space for all of us, and the kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and lunch, so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal which made my parents happy. We went to the local farmer’s market and loaded up on fresh fruits like pineapple and papaya. It was fun to have breakfast in the room every morning. Also, the condos had beach toys (snorkeling gear, 2 bodyboards, sandcastle toys, etc.) we could use, which was really convenient. I’m not sure they all have those, but I saw some people renting snorkeling gear near the pool area. Check out the video my dad made of our room, so you can see just how big it really was!

Eating Out: We tried several restaurants while we were in Maui, but the on-site restaurant, Duke’s Beach House, was super convenient and the food was delicious! You have to try the Hula Pie—it’s huge and perfect for sharing. We also loved the pool-side service. Being able to get snacks and drinks without leaving our spot was awesome.

Beach & Pool Fun: The beach access was a huge plus. We found some great snorkeling spots right there and saw so many colorful fish (and eels…Yikes!). The pools were amazing and had something for everyone. The water playground is huge, with waterfalls, slides (I even got my mom and dad to go down the slide a bunch of times, lol), and caves. Plus, because there were so many families there, it was easy to find people my age to hang out with, so I wasn’t stuck with my parents the whole time. It never felt overcrowded though.

Overall Vibe: Honua Kai is super family-friendly and has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you want to hang by the pool, play on the beach, or just enjoy time with your family, this place has it all. I can’t wait to go back someday! If you’re planning a trip to Maui, definitely check out Honua Kai Resort & Spa. It’s a perfect spot for an unforgettable family vacation!
